If you aren't getting those results, verify that the results you get are consistent as you press and release middle C. If you aren't getting consistent results, try the other keyboard to see if it is the same. If both keyboards produce inconsistent results I would suspect the MidiSport.
Try each of the In Ports to see if they all behave the same. If things are still not making sense, I would try a loopback test of the MidiSport. This is a bit more advanced and I'll only describe the general idea. If you see what to do then go for it. If not, we will need to reconsider further steps. You will drive yourself crazy if you don't start with rational MIDI input. So don't try anything fancy to get around problems at this level.
I will include a bit more info As you can see, the Note On is specific, but there is no corresponding specific Note Off, just the general purpose All Notes Off, which occurs regardless of the note pressed.

CPU load is minimal. The keyboards are velocity sensitive, but I have turned this off for troubleshooting. Enabling panic mode prevents all notes from playing. As it stands, all notes play but also all cipher once played which would appear to be the result of not receiving a specific Note Off event, which my keyboards don't seem to produce.
